Have your own E-Mail ID on Google
In present times have your free E-Mail ID. Businesses are shifting online and a major part of service sector is developed on the base of internet and there are far more customers who shop through online portals. Therefore having an E-Mail ID is crucial for any person who knows internet. E-Mail Id comes in handy in many ways.
- It is a medium that connects you to the internet. It is like your contact me ID through which other people on the internet interact with you.
- E-Mail ID is must if you want to subscribe to any RSS feed or follow any other person on the internet.
- It acts like a base through which you could get connected to social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, MySpance, Linkedin etc.
- For shopping and selling products and services online.
- And many more, the list is endless.
But Why Google Email ID?
This is because I love Google and my love for google far outweighs any other E-Mail Accounts. Yahoo and Outlook, to name a few, are equally good.
I could connect to all the google services through one E-Mail ID and that's what made me their fan.
Step-by-step method to open a Google Account.
Step - 1:
Open your web browser for example Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer etc. or any other of your choice. Go ahead and type www.google.com at the address bar. Click the SIGN IN button that appear at the top right corner of the google search page.
Step - 2:
A google sign in page will appear asking you to sign in. Just click "Create Account" button at the bottom and proceed further to the google sign up form page.
Step - 3:
Google sign up form page will appear which would ask you for mandatory information required to create your account. Add your first and last name which would be required to make a unique username. If the username is not available then some alternatives are provided to chose from. Next choose a Password to protect your account. Google recommends at least 8 character long to secure the account. You can have a strong passwords by making use of capital letters and special symbols, thus making it difficult to guess the password. Retype the password at "confirm your password" field.
Step - 4:
Type your Birthday, Gender and mobile phone number. Skip "Your current email address" field. Now a CAPTCHA field appears. You can either skip this field by clicking the box right next to the "Skip this verification (Phone verification may be required)"or type in the characters shown in the CAPTCHA if you do not require a Phone verification. This check is made to make sure there is no script or ro(bot) running on your computer. Do not forget to add your country location. In the end tick the "I agree to the google Terms of Service and Privacy Policy" field. Hit the next step button finally.
Step - 5:
A phone verification page will appear if the phone number is not provided in the sign up page. Here google verifies your identity and location. Google will send you a code either through a Text message or a Voice Mail. Just type in your phone number, choose text message from the choice and hit the "Continue" button.
Step - 6:
A 6-digit code will be sent by google to the mobile number provided by you. Type that code to the "Enter Verification code" field and hit "Continue".
Step - 7:
A welcome page will appear which shows your email. It is called "Thanks for creating a google account" page. Google tells you how could you use your gmail account. You can visit your account settings from the top right corner icon the arrow is pointing to. Click "continue" button.
Step - 8:
Your email is successfully created. Congratulations. Now you can follow google's quick tour and get familiar with the interface of the google email account. Good Luck!
